As a church we have a vision to serve our community with a message of Hope, Truth and Love. We are a contemporary and active church, motivated by our faith in God and our conviction that Christianity remains as relevant today as ever.
We are a church that believes in the importance of both Sunday and Monday Church, and we are active in meeting the practical needs of those in our local community. Through our various programs and projects we are able to make a real difference in people's lives.
Edge Church has a strong focus on partnering with others in the community. We have forged close relationships with churches of different denominations around the world, initiating the global Edge Leadership Network (Edge Connect) to help foster these relationships.
Most importantly, we are a Christian church. We believe the Bible is God’s word and that it shows us how to live as God designed. We have seen many lives transformed through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We are passionate about our love for God, the difference He has made in our own lives, and we can’t help but share that with those around us.
Edge Church is a multi-campus church with campuses in the south, west and city of Adelaide, as well as Melbourne and the city of Bristol in the UK. Our church is constantly growing and we love visitors. We encourage you to come and see for yourself what God is doing at Edge Church.
Edge Church International was originally called Southside Christian Church when it was established in 1994 by Senior Minister Danny Guglielmucci in Adelaide, Australia. The church began with just 40 people in a small building in the southern suburb of O’Halloran Hill.
During its first 18 months Edge Church grew at an incredible rate. Filled to capacity the church relocated to what had previously been the Old Reynella Markets in 1996. Over $640,000 was given by the congregation in one offering enabling the church to purchase the property in 2001.
In the same year a second campus, Edge Church City, was established. The City campus was forced to move seven times in its first two years as it too experienced rapid growth. In 2003 the church took up residence at the Adelaide Showgrounds before relocating five years later to its current premises in the former Greater Union cinema complex on Hindley Street in the heart of Adelaide.
In 2005, after enjoying a strong friendship with Edge Church for many years, Westside Assemblies of God Church in the western suburbs of Adelaide felt led to bring their church under Danny’s leadership. At the beginning of 2006, Westside AOG became Edge Church’s third campus, Edge Church West.
At the start of 2008, Edge Church's first international church plant in Bristol (UK) was established. And in 2010, Imagine Church in Melbourne became Edge Church's fifth campus. This growth marks an exciting new era in the life of the church, fulfilling its desire to see people from different generations find hope and meaningful answers for their lives today.
